I think that ad is not nearly as effective as it means to be. Their analogy isn't really very good. If there was a baby in the box, yes, I would be careful with boxes. But this has precious little to do with the fact that I think babies are people before they are born. Odd. I don't dare go to the website to tell them my critiques though, they might hunt me down and try to convert me.

This is so random. Hey, if you thought there was even a small chance that somebody baked a baby into that cake, would you eat it?
The level of intelligence in this organization appears to be....hmpf. I bite my tongue.
This is making the rounds all over the place.. and the comments are hilarious.
One of them was "if you thought there was even a small chance that a Catholic priest was a pedophile, wouldn't you beat all Catholic priests with a golf club...just in case?"
If you go over to feministing.com, they have some HILARIOUS comments there. I highly recommend it. :)
Oooh - I love that catholic priest one. So funny.
I have a confession...
For years I have been putting babies in empty boxes. I don't know why. I know that I should stop, but I just can't seem to make myself.
But seriously, I think this add only encourages people to keep babies in boxes. They don't say that the babies should be taken out of boxes, since boxes are not appropriate places to store babies, they merely suggest that one should be careful with a box full of baby.
excellent point Megan. Welcome back.
I do know that my baby loves to play in boxes, so I can see the appeal of putting a baby in a box.
I am reminded of SNL though.
step one, cut a hole in the box...
